A CHEATING wife made false rape claims against her estranged husband.
A court heard that Sharon Taylor, 61, vowed to “destroy” David Taylor after the collapse of their 21-year marriage.
He left her after she admitted having an affair.
Taylor bombarded him with abusive messages, asking for money and demanding he do chores.
The mum of two then lied about rapes to his Post Office boss — and threatened to take the claims to cops unless her husband quit.
Judge Martin Jackson said: “False allegations of rape are extremely unsettling.
“Threatening to make an allegation that is untrue is a very serious matter.”
Former town councillor Taylor, of Malvern, Worcs, was convicted of stalking and blackmail at Worcester crown court.
She was given a suspended jail term, a restraining order and must complete 30 days of rehabilitation.
