Here’s‘s list of legal advice services thanks to Helga Speck.  We don’t necessarily endorse any of these practices, and you approach them at your own risk.  They have however been recommended to us by members from experience of use.  They therefore carry no especial endorsement, but might be a reasonable place to start your search for legal advice.  We currently receive no income from any of these people or practices.

Your first port of call will usually be a solicitor, who will then organise contact with a barrister who will represent you in court.  You cannot usually contact your barrister directly, unless they can provide what is known as a ‘direct access service’.  Your solicitor should also have a 24-hour on-call service just in case the police come knocking at an awkward hour, which they will often do.  Make sure you and your loved ones have a note of their 24-hour support number.

If you would like to advertise your practice here, please email us.
